Looking for a fresh, sparkling drink with lots of flavor? This apple-ginger mocktail is for you! With the sweet, fruity taste of apple, the zing of lime and the spiciness of ginger ale, it's the perfect drink for alcohol-free indulgence. What's more, the egg white adds a light mousse that makes it super chic! Easy to make and refreshing, it's the ideal mocktail for an aperitif whatever the season!

In this article, I share with you the ultra-simple recipe for making it at home, along with a few tips to make it sublime. A must try!

Ingredients

The juice of an apple

The juice of half a lime

A touch of honey

10cl ginger ale

The zest of half a lime

1/2 egg white

A little zest for decoration

Mocktail preparation:

Step 1:

Wash the apple well, cut it into pieces, then run it through the juice extractor to obtain a fresh, natural juice. If you don't have an extractor, use 10cl of no-sugar-added apple juice. Choose cloudy juice, which is richer in flavour and aroma than filtered juice.

Step 2:

Wash the lime and finely grate the zest. Squeeze half the lime and pour the juice into a shaker with the honey and apple juice. Then add half the grated zest. Finally, add the egg white.

Step 3:

Close the shaker and shake for 10 seconds. This emulsifies the egg white and creates a creamy mousse.

Step 4:

Then add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker and shake again for about 15 seconds. This cools the mocktail and firms up the foam. Tip: for an even thicker foam, you can make a double dry shake (shake once without ice, leave for a few seconds, then shake again before adding the ice and shaking a third time).

Step 5:

Pour 10cl of ginger ale into a cocktail glass. Then strain and gently pour the contents of the shaker over the ginger ale.

Step 6:

Add a little lime zest on top for a finishing touch. You can also add a thin slice of apple or a slice of lemon as a garnish.

Taste immediately for maximum freshness and bubbles!
