1. Installation

A successful spa day requires a little preparation. First of all, tidy up the space you'll be dedicating to your moment of relaxation and prepare what you'll need for the various treatments. Then, put on a comfortable outfit and create a cocooning atmosphere in which you'll feel good. Light a few candles. If you have a diffuser, opt for a soothing essential oil, such as lavender essential oil, which will soothe your nervous system and relax you deeply. Finally, don't hesitate to add some soft music, for a 100% well-being atmosphere.

2. Facial cleansing and purifying matcha mask

To start your spa day, begin by gently cleansing your face with the cleanser of your choice. Even without make-up, this step removes impurities accumulated overnight. Then dry your skin with a clean towel, avoiding rubbing. For a more complete treatment, you can also apply a scrub, which will help remove dead cells and maximize the benefits of the mask you apply next.

Your skin is now ready for the purifying matcha mask. This mask is specially designed for oily and dehydrated skin. Discover the recipe and how to apply it here. Si votre peau est très sensible, je vous recommande d’utiliser un masque spécifiquement adapté à ce type de peau.

During the mask break, enjoy a moment of complete relaxation by practicing a short meditation session, for example, or listening to a relaxing podcast.

3. Foot bath with coarse salt and lavender essential oil

Footbathing is an ancient practice with many health and well-being benefits. For example, it stimulates blood circulation, reduces the sensation of heavy legs and relieves certain types of pain. In addition to being superbly relaxing, footbaths also help detoxify the body by promoting the elimination of toxins through the pores of the feet.

Ingredients

50g. coarse salt

1 dl. vegetable oil of your choice

15 drops lavender essential oil

Preparation and application

In a bowl, mix the vegetable oil with the drops of lavender essential oil.

Prepare a tub large enough for your feet, and fill it with warm water. Add the coarse salt and the oil mixture, then stir well to diffuse the ingredients. Leave your feet to soak for a maximum of 15 to 20 minutes. During the bath, enjoy a few breathing exercises for deep relaxation. Once the bath is over, dry your feet with a warm towel to prolong the feeling of comfort.

4. Detox tea break

It's time to take a break with a detox infusion! Rosemary, peppermint, dandelion, burdock and chamomile are plants with multiple benefits for the body. They help eliminate toxins, aid digestion and support the liver in its role of purifying the body. Choose the one that suits you best, and enjoy a moment to yourself.

5. Coffee body scrub

Now that you've taken care of your face, let's continue with a body scrub for silky-soft skin. With this coffee recipe, you also benefit from targeted action against cellulite for smooth, toned skin.

Ingredients

2 tbsp. ground coffee

2 tbsp. coconut sugar

4 tbsp. vegetable oil of your choice

Preparation and application

Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl until smooth. Use within 2 days of preparation.

Gently massage each part of the body in a circular motion. Be careful not to apply too much pressure, so that the scrub remains gentle. Concentrate on rough areas, such as knees, elbows or heels. Avoid intimate parts and the face. Rinse with lukewarm water to remove any residue, and finish with a moisturizing lotion.

6. Yoga Nidra

If you wish, end your spa day with a session of Yoga Nidra. This particularly gentle form of yoga requires no complex postures. Instead, it focuses on meditation and deep relaxation, offering benefits similar to those of restful sleep. It's even said that 20 to 30 minutes of practice can provide rest equivalent to several hours' sleep. Here's a link to a session I love.
