In our daily routine, water is undoubtedly our healthiest ally. Staying hydrated supports various body functions such as digestion and blood circulation. It's also essential for energy and concentration, waste elimination and even skin health. For some people, drinking 1 to 2 liters of water a day can be difficult, not least because of its unappealing taste. Healthier than sugary drinks, infused waters seem like an ideal alternative. Here are two recipe ideas to add flavor to your daily hydration.
Cucumber, lime, mint and blueberry water
The perfect balance between freshness and acidity.
For a large decanter:
1/2 cucumber
2 limes
20 blueberries
2 bunches mint
Wash all ingredients thoroughly. Fill 3/4 of a carafe with water. Cut half the cucumber and limes into slices and pour into the carafe with the blueberries and mint. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour for a refreshing, tasty water.
Grapefruit, orange and thyme water
The combination of citrus and thyme for a water rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.
For a large decanter:
1 grapefruit
1 orange
2 bunches thyme
Wash fruit and thyme thoroughly. Fill 3/4 of the carafe with water. Slice the grapefruit and orange and pour into the carafe with the thyme. Cover and chill for 30 minutes. Drink the water within 2-3 hours, or remove the fruit to avoid bitterness.
